Fear of frogs and other amphibians (batrachophobia)
A fear of frogs and other amphibians can show up in gardens, ponds, after rain or even in pictures. The sudden jumps and the damp, slippery skin are often what set it off, and it can be helped.
What it feels like
- Avoiding ponds, wet grass or garden corners
- Feeling sick at the sight of frogs
- Flinching at sudden jumping or croaking
Common questions
Does it include toads and newts?
It can. Some people fear only frogs, while others react to toads, newts or salamanders too. We would find out exactly what sets it off for you.
How can you help?
I use hypnotherapy and NLP to change how your mind responds to the thing you fear, so the old alarm stops going off. Sessions are one to one over Zoom, and you get a recording of the hypnosis to listen to afterwards.
How many sessions will I need?
Many clients notice a real difference after one 90 minute session. If the fear goes back a long way, three sessions gives us room to make the change stick.
